Hey fellas I want to see what you guys have to say about this problem I've been having lately. For like maybe the last few weeks, I've noticed a change in my clutch pedal. It used to be great but lately its been real sluggish on the release like it doesnt have enough release pressure I guess you could say. and then another thing is I've noticed when I press it down and i think its all the way down i can still press it down a little more, is there a reason for all this?? I know its not my clutch and indeed my clutch cylinder system because every few weeks i have to add brake fluid to my cylinder. I replaced the master cylinder a couple months back but i didn't replace the slave. So today I tried to remedy this whole situation by bleeding the clutch cylinde through the slave cylinder. For the most part i was unsuccessful. I had my buddy pump the clutch while i bled it from the slave and then i'd tighten it back up and there would be pressure but not good enough. Like there'd be pressure when i pressed it down but there'd be like no pressure on the release, can the slave cylinder cause this?? Another thing is like there is a good amount of play on the pedal itself when its fully disengaged like you can barely touch it with your foot and it'll feel all loose, obviously cuz of the lack of pressure. So what is the correct way or form to bleed the clutch just to make sure im doing this right?? Please any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've bled my clutch by hand before, by myself... real pain in the ***. You want to make sure you close the slave bleeder while the clutch is on the floor. Then pump it back up. Keep doing that until your sure the system is air bubble free.

Yeah do what he said but keep adding brake fluid to the clutch cylinder to flush out all the dark stuff. Try to clean out the resevoir itself too.

Do you see any leaks anywhere? You can adjust pedal play under the dash. Also there is a spring on the clutch pedal itself you can check it to see if its still in good shape.

is there fluid inside the floor of the car?? your clutch master cylinder might be leaking??

just hope its not your pressure plate and sometimes when bleeding your clutch it could take 30min to do it right and get it tight just keep doin it and make sure whoever you got on the pedal holds it down has far as possible when you open bleeder valve and and close bleeder before letting of pedal and pump pedal like 4-5 times before opening

What I do is get a piece of clear tube and cut it to length and place one end on the slave nipple and one in a 20oz soda bottle with some fluid in the bottom. Open the resevoir. losen the bleeder nipple on the slave cylinder. Press the clutch to the floor. Tghten the nipple on the slave cylinder. Lift the clutch pedal all the way up. Repeat. Check the resevoir/replenish brake fluid. (about 2 bottles for a good flush n fill). Repeat.

You might want to adjust the pedal first but not sure.
