You should check to make sure hat you didnt bend anything on the actuator. only other advise is to grease that ***** up again. worked for me.

It is a common civic problem for the 96-00 Civics with power windows. You can take it to Honda, and they will fix the problem with new parts. Parts and Labor $400+ you are better off taking five mintues outta your day, and installing fixing it correctly. I have to redo mine about once every two months. And I open and close my windows just about everyday. If it is really a problem, don't open your windows.

Ya, well the passenger side, just leave it up. The drivers side may have to go down to swipe garage security passes or pay tolls or some crap. If you're doing it to stay cool, just use the ac. Most cars will actually get better gas milage using the ac than getting all the extra drag from the windows being down.

I didn't think about tolls or security passes, I guess it depends on wheere you live and what you do.

same thing on my 00 si. i got it fixed for free by a buddy that goes to a local tech school. there is an arm attached to the track that clamps around your window. inside the clamped part, there is some "goo" that holds everything together. all my friend did for me was put some "goo" in there that hardens, and i havent had any problems since. i dont know what the stuff is called.

I have a 94 ex and it does the same thing, it keeps slidding out of the front window track, but its only the drivers door. any suggestions.

when putting back on track I tried not tightening the front track bolt under the speaker all the way and this has seemed to work. My window was falling off track like once a week and havent had to fix it for a couple months now.
