ok, first of my engine is a d15b7, a while back my TPS stared acting up and throwing a code, lately for some reason it hasnt been doin nething and seems fine, however back when it was goin crazy i ordred a used TB of a LS integra, it came in the other day and i had some spare time so i said why not might as well put it on, cant port match yet but i figured id do it later. Neway so i get the thing on, all of the hoses are connected like the should be and all sensors n everything is put together just as the old one was, start it up, HUGE idol, up around 1800-2000 and itll somtimes Float a lil for the first few seconds btween about 1600 and 2000, then if i rev the engine up to say 3500 ill take my foot off the gas and the pedal will come back totally however the throtttle sticks and the car will stay at 3500, WTF is goin on? do i need to losen up the throttle cable is that why its sticking?, ne help would be GREATLY appriceated, this is my daily driver so i need to fix this TONITE!

common guys, i think maybe the thorttle cable is to tight, how do i loosen it, also maybe the spring isnt quite right, cuz i took it off and then put it back on maybe put it back on wrong, sombody please help me out

does the idle eventually go down once the car gets warmed up? if so, then this is normal because of the fast idle thermo valve.

ok yea it does kinda do that, and i suppose i can lower it idle w/ the idle adjustment screw, but what about the throttle staying wherever i rev it?, like i said i think its cuz its too tight, how do i loosen it?

you really need to get a haynes or helms manual if you dont have one. to adjust the idle, you dont just turn the screw. theres more to it than that. and the throttle cable if you look at it, it should be self explanitory on howto adjust it..

unhook the throttle cable completely, then start the car, if it still idles high, its not the throttle cable. Most likely you have a vacuum leak or your map sensor is bad. Try replacing the map sensor with your old one (the one on top of the throttle body) ORRR you plugged the TPS plug into the map sensor and the map plug into the TPS.

dammit, yea maybe it is the map because i dissconected the throttle cable and it still idoled hight, however i just in stripped one of the map screws so i cant get it off, i guess ill just put the old one back on and fix this when i have more time

ok, i put back on the stock tb, and the high/floating idle is gone, and the throttle stick is gone, HOWEVER now my idle is shiiiity, like its gurgling sort of, right at about 1k, and im blowin some smoke out my exhast i think im runnin reallllly rich too bc i smell gas, what could have caused this and how can i fix it?? please help guys gotttta have this runnin smothe again by mornin
