Every tranny pro on H-T has said either 10w30 or Torco MTF. That would be for the older manual transmissions. Being you have turbo, could also mean a swap. I doubt K-series trannies would take to well to 5w30 or 10w30 motor oil but who am I to say.
What engine does your 93 Turbo civic have? I ask so we know what series 5 speed manual transmission is bolted to your power plant.

If you're driving it hard (and if it's a turbo car I'm guessing you are) run Torco MTF. If you're just driving it easy as a daily driver you can get away 10W30.

Don't use synthetic oil in the transmission. That's just from my experience and seen what it does to synchros. I've never had a problem using HondaMTF.
GM Synchromesh "friction modifier"is what I also like to use.

This is the Torco you want: http://www.torcousa.com/torco_product/mtf.html
As far as the oil goes, if you're talking about the transmission go with cheap 10W30 (plain old Supertech from Walmart is fine) If you're talking about the oil it's going to depend where you live, for most places 5W30, if you've got a turbo car and you live somewhere where it's always pretty warm going with something a little thicker like 10W40 wont hurt. Synthetic isn't a bad idea either.
Current Honda MTF is just too thin and kills input shaft bearings.

B Serious says the Penzoil Platinum is currently one of the best synthetics out right now and I know he's done his homework on motor oil.
This is for your engine, not transmission. Go with the Torco that 94EG8 provided the link for, that's some of the best around for Manual Honda Transmissions.

I wouldn't recommend it, you can certainly run it, but it will kill ISBs. It's just too thin, it's almost like water. It also breaks down quickly if you're driving hard.

Penzoil ULTRA is a great oil as well, nothing will keep the engine cleaner than this oil. I work with oil everyday and tested the difference in the platinum and ultra as they both were good, but the ultra looked cleaner after 3000 miles vs the platinum.
I'm gonna have to get the Torco 94eg8!! Thanks
