Default please help.

My buddy has a GSR motor swap in his 92 civic cx hatch. His car went into some sort of "safety mode" today and now it wont go over 4000 rpms. im gonna just quote him so i dont get anything wrong on what hes tried. "its a p28 ecu, obd1 compatible 92-95 and the harness and fuse are for the stock eg motor. what happened was i had unplugged my ecu for no reason other than he was bored and wanted to check things out. problem is when i plugged it back in, the check engine light was on and the car was in safe mode. i tried pulling the negative off the battery and pulling the ecu fuse to reset it, but that didnt do anything and when i try to check the the code it doesnt work." any help is very much appreciated. thanks everyone. (ps- he already did a search and couldnt find anything).

Sounds like he fried the ecu by touching it on something.

Besides he shouldnt be using that, tell him to get the correct ECU (P72)
