My buddy has a GSR motor swap in his 92 civic cx hatch. His car went into some sort of "safety mode" today and now it wont go over 4000 rpms. im gonna just quote him so i dont get anything wrong on what hes tried. "its a p28 ecu, obd1 compatible 92-95. so i had unplugged my ecu for no reason other than he was bored and wanted to check things out. problem is when i plugged it back in, the check engine light was on and the car was in safe mode. i tried pulling the negative off the battery and pulling the ecu fuse to reset it, but that didnt do anything and when i try to check the the code it doesnt work." any help is very much appreciated. thanks everyone. (ps- he already did a search and couldnt find anything).

 

i forgot to add that the wiring and the fuse are for the original motor from the eg. im gonna post this in the civic forum as well.
