dont know if this will help or not, but my car was overheating for no reason too... i had a new thermostat, new radiator, new fan, new fan switch, new radiator cap... and it kept overheating... what was happening was for some reason the radiator cap was putting too much pressure on the system and not letting coolent flow.. the cap was for the right application, but all i did was not tighten it down all the way.
again, i dont know if that helps at all but its worth a shot :\

yea, are you sure you're car is actually overheating? Maybe your gauge is messed up. Also, check all your grounds, bad grounds can make a car do the strangest things. Check especially on the grounds on the thermostat housing, they control lots of critical things on your motor.

Turn it on and take the radiator cap out. i there bubbles coming out? If yes it could be the headgasket or a Valve, but mostly the headgasket.

yes the head is torqued correctly, I did it by the manual in two steps: 22 ft lbs and then 61 ft lbs in the sequence pictured. The head was resurfaced because I usually resurface the head when I change a head gasket and I took it in for a three angle valve job with new valve guides and valve seals on all 16 so I also told them to resurface it while they were at it. They told me that the head was "warped" or uneven by three thousands of an inch. So it is straight for sure.

It is a brand new IM gasket. How does this affect the way the car has been overheating. Im just curious to know. Thanks!

Re: please dont fail me now HondaTech (EG6 SiR)
do a compression test. the coolant doesn't necessarly has to go in the oil. if the car is in certain rpms, it will be sucked out from the exhuast.
Or
it might be a airpocket in the block take the cap off and start the car and leave it on till the thermostat activates twice. (turns on then off then on)
Or
Your block is warpped
Or
Your water pump is faulty

Just b/c oil isn't in your antifreeze and antifreeze isnt in your oil doesn't mean it isnt the head gasket. When you are running it if you leave the radiator cap off do you see alot of bubbles coming out. if not do you have white smoke coming out the exhaust? not saying it is the head gasket but possible

if you saying that you put in the headgasket right, the you might have a cracked head, or you block is damaged. I don't know how the check for crack on the head but I know that sometimes you can see it with a bare eye, I think only machine shop can indentify a cracked head.

Re: please dont fail me now HondaTech (ABK)
I am almost positive that it is not over heating, because just now my guage started going crazy. Now everytime I take it past 4 thousand RPMs the gauge goes back down to cold. I checked all the grounds (tranny, valve cover, and thermostat housing) and the were all secure and I cleaned them just in case it wasnt making a good connection and everything checked out. The gauge is still bouncing around above 4 thousand RPMs. So if the grounds are secure what can it be. I was maybe thinking of running the ground wires from the chassis to the negative battery terminal. Do you think that will work. TIA!
