Default Pin for needle broke, gauge problem

When installing some new gauges onto my Honda 1990 CRX I broke the two pins that hold the needles in place on the gas gauge and the temperature gauge. The other two pins for the tach and spedo came off easily. Now obviously my problem is how to get ahold of two of these new pins? Is there any other solution.?

Also after all this I read in a thread from a while back that the gas/temperature gauges are not supposed to be removed? If that is the case then would getting the pins off another gauge cluster even be an option?

Any help is greatly appreciated

That is one expensive cluster. But anyway, it looks like you'll have to switch out the whole thing with another cluster, since there aren't seperate guages within it. The needles aren't supposed to be removed, you'll most likely end up with 2 dead clusters if you try to swap.

Oh, and you'll probably get a better response in the EF forum.

Try the Classified section, someone may be parting out a car and willing to sell a new cluster, i know my cluster for my del sol isent sapossed to be taken apart but i did anyhow when my fuel and temp gauge failed. There should be a few retaining clips on the cover which im sure you already know about and some pillips screws on the back holding the gauges down to the printed circuit board. Take the screws out behind the bad guage and it should come right out.... Hope that helps!

Can someone move this to the CRX forum please

You guys think there is any chance a Honda dealer could get me the pins I need and then try to just replace those?

no, you cannot replace the pins...you broke them - you need a new cluster. Pic one up off ebay and this time, dont put those stupid faces on there
