Fuel Gauge Problem after gauges reinstalled
ok here is the deal. i changed the color of my gauges right. go to reinstall the gauge cluster made sure the fuel gauge was where it was suppost to be (the same spot it was when i took the cluster out) and now the gauge goes to just past full. I know i have less than half a tank.
when i searched this problem i found lots of people with very similar problems but all replies said it must be the sending unit. 99.9% sure that is not my problem considering it worked hours prior. My common sense tells me it must be the gauge itself but i am really not wanting to accept that yet.
somebody that has ran into this before let me know what you did or just tell me i am in denial and that i know it is that gauge and bite the bullet!
and it is not the first time the gauges have been removed, closer to the tenth or more.

did you take the needle off usually you can put on those gauge covers without taking the needle off. If you took the needle off you probably broke the gauge they are pretty sensitive. Only thing you could do is check that all the plugs are firmly plugged in the back and no wires got damaged.
