For people who have gotten tranny swaps !! NEED HELP !!
this is for people who have changed their tranny's from auto to manual...my neighbor recently changed his tranny from auto to manual...i took it for a spin and it makes this weird noise...but when i step on the clutch the noise goes away, and if i were to push the car into high RPM ranges (above 4 or 5), it makes this loud screaming noise, and its not the exhaust. anybody know what it might be ? also, his clutch scratches whenever i step on it. is it suppose to do that ? other than that the car runs fine.

Re: For people who have gotten tranny swaps !! NEED HELP !! (allaboutgsr)
ive done this swap in my 92 DX hatch with a GSR..auto to manual..a pain
checklist:
slave cylinder
hydraulic lines (did you get all the air bubbles out?)
axles (are you using auto or manual?)
hmmm...high rpm's....might be something in your drivetrain...
check im shaft
belts
ive had several problems with my setup...only because i never re located that damn tranny mount...my engine always sat too high or crooked...
putting stress on several parts...like snapping axles quickly, losing im shaft bolts,
1-3 gear grinding...
hope that helps..good luck
