it be easier to obtain and cheaper. plus people prefer to chip p28. what you plan to run wont matter just as long as its chipped

P30 has knock board, P28 does not.

However, the knock board is useless, so...

P28 is the winner.

Are you converting your EK to obd-1?

If so, a chipped P72 (obd-1 GSR ECU) will run the H22 better because it has the IAB function. You will have to wire up the knock sensor though. This means using shielded wire thats grounded to the proper locations as the helms wiring diagrams details. As a second option, you can also get an RPM activated switch to operate the IAB on the H22. Then just use a P28 so you don't have to worry about the knock sensor...

Dont forget, P06 ECUs can be reconfigured to run exactly like a P28 for cheaper (I use one on my ITR motor)...
