Default Overheating problem....help please

Good morning ladies and gents, my car was overheating and i tracked down the fan switch...so i changed the fan switch and the thermostat and the fan started turning on and everything...yesterday i was driving and looking at the needle and it was all good..so i go to the corner store and i leave my wife in the car and i come back i see that the needle moved a lil bit, same thing happened this morning but once i start driving the needle goes back down to normal....what could this be? maybe i need more anti-freeze...? any ideas?

thank you very much for the help.......

Since u jsut changed the t-stat i would try to bleeding the system and checking the coolant level. If u did that already than...

Could be a water pump going bad. ive seen cars cool while driving bc the water pump is spinning fast but at idle there is not enough blade material left to flow the necc amount of coolant needed to cool the mtr. I would only suspect that if there is high milage on ur wtr pump.

with 60,000 i wouldnt suspect the wtr pump. id check the coolant level and make sure when the fan comes on both ur radiator hoses are hot. let me know if all that checks out ok.

It might be the radiator getting old and stuck with recess materials.. i have a half full cola can of buildups in my last flush.
