overheating issue drive a brother crazy!
i just built a gsr, forged bottom end, toda b cam shafts. Put the engine back in the car, and tried to bleed the coolent. first time it over heated and i shut it down after reading 220 on hondata. let it cool down and then replaced thermostat, put it in boiling water before hand to ensure it was a working thermostat. All test came back positive and installed it. After putting coolent in the car again, started it up, let it warm up, and sure enough it started over heating again, no warm air coming from the vents. top rad hose gets extremely hot, lower one stays cold for a few, then slowly gets warmer. When you rev the engine, no coolent shoots out of the rad, but when you turn the engine off, coolent shoots out about 1 foot out the top of the rad. im leaning towards a head gasket being popped on my first over heat of 220... but am not 100 percent sure! anyone else have this stupid issue.. Ive never encountered this problem on a fresh built, with all brand new parts....
Should i try a comp test, or a leak down and see what the issue is.. hopefully it isnt headgasket
