Overheating help!!!

Default Overheating help!!!

i have a 99 ek hatch with a 97 b20b in it and i was driving on the highway when i saw my temp gauge climbing i turned off the car and pulled over at a gas station.... there was no coolant left in my radiator as i started to fill it up i hear splashs on the floor look under and see water spilling from behind the motor....im guessing my water pump took a **** but my question is....it can just fail that bad like that?.....now the sucky part is towing to my house ugh.......

lol i found out after towing my car like 20 miles with my dads BAJA.............i sucked up a rock into my tranny cause i didnt have the dust shield and it put a small hole in my block.......post pics soon
