Default over heating

it seems like im always having problems with my car over heating every now and than. Ive changed the head gasket and radiator cap and thermostat and she still over heats every now and then. Last week I noticed a huge climb in temp when i had the air conditioning on, so now ive stopped using the air conditioning. By today it just started to over heat again, and steam was coming out of my over flo tank, i keep filling it up with coolant and it sems to fix itself for a few weeks than its back to overheating. I thought maybe i was leaking coolant but i hardley ever see any when i look under the car. besides topping of the cooland every now and than i dont know what to do.

have you made sure everytime you add coolant and such that you bleed the system correctly?, if you dont you will overheat like you are describing

it's probably your radiator. My ex had the same problem, and it turned out that his radiator was clogged and he had to replace it.

Is the fan comming on?

You might have air bubbles in the system which is causing it to over heat.

Are you sure you used a 50/50 mix, because if you just a coolant that will cause over heating

My civic used to occationally over heat...once every week or so and I'd have to top up the radiator tank once in a while. A little while after the water pump went bad (therefore your water pump might be going) and the mechanic found a small leak in the cooling system, and I had never seen radiator fluid at the bottom of my car before.

that is friggin odd. Next time you drive you car for at least 20 Mins, when you get home, park for at least 45 mins, then move your car, and see what is on the ground, also a good time to check for oil or fuel leaks!
