Coilovers are probably your best bet for lowering. However, I don't think the 50 dollar coilovers on Ebay are gonna be that great, "you get what you paid for".
If you are on a budget and all you want to do is lower your car, just cut your springs or do it the right way, save your money until you have enough to buy some decent shocks and coilovers, Skunk 2's or Ground Control coilovers are nice when paired up with KYB's or Tokico shocks or Koni's. Good luck!

You have about 3 different options.

1) cut your springs, This is a bad idea but if you have no money and are an idiot this is the way to go

2) Coil overs, This is what i would consider the budget way to go cheaper then lowering springs in general. Dosent handle as well in my opinion.

3) Lowering springs, This is what i would recomend. Nice ridged response feels great. This is what i have on my car.

No matter what you do i also recomend replacing all your shocks/struts with something made for your application stock ones arent meant to be ussed with lowering kits and fail very quickly in comparison. I went with the tokico set up with Springs and shocks/struts for about 350 and got a 1.75 inch drop. You can get different kits altho with greater or lower drops depending on what you want.
