Re: over heat (discman)
After cooling of course, check to see if it has water in it. Fill it, run it only for a little bit with rad cap of (helps get air bubbles out) then check for leaks (this won't really help if its leaking from the head gasket). No leaks, it probably stuck shut thermostat. I would recommend replacing the thermostat even if its not the cause, just the over eating can cause them to go bad. If it still over heats it's probably the headgasket.

could be multiple things. you may have an air bubble. is your radiator full? how old is your water pump? and it's also possible you have a blown head gasket. try this, take the cap off your radiator, fill up the radiator, and let the car run. This will get your air bubbles out. if a couple big bubbles come out, good, you probably just had some air in it, no big deal, if it continues to bubble out in small amounts, you may have a bad water pump. If it kind of pours out or shoots out though, you got yourself a blown head gasket.
