Default ok, lots of opinions when I searched, best drop spring for the $$ and ride

application: 92' dx hb w/b16a

To be honest I really don't think I want a set of coilovers simply because to afford a set that won't rust in place and will serve its purpose well I think you have to spend $450+.........that is out of my budget bein a married father....I have ridden in a few civics/del sol's that have had like 1"-1.2" lowering springs with a good set of AGX adjustable shocks and have loved the way it handled, and the ride height. I don't want to slam my car, just like to lower its stance and make it more fun on the twisty's near my house and my occasional trip to the local auto-x's. Who is the best for the money?

I got a used Integra Type R suspension. I got it for $300 used. That was for springs and shock with only 3k miles on them. Then all you have to do is buy some type r rear lower control arms. You will need these later when you want to add a rear sway bar so the cost is justified. It will not lower the care that much, about 1-1.75 inches. But the car will handle great.

This was done on a '94 del sol

Good luck

they're certainly not the best "drop" springs...

but eibach pro-kit springs are rediculously nice... especially if you're a father/husband...

not too bumpy or stiff for the kid/wife...

I had them on my sentra for over 100k miles with NO problems what so ever...

They only drop like 1.2 inches though...

Not sure if you noticed this in your searching but there is a concensus as far as affordable adjustable springs...

For affordable GREAT coilover sleeve type springs just get ground controls.... they're eibach springs and whatever shock/strut you choose... they're adjustable and I haven't heard anyone complain about them... most love them...

I'm a BIG fan of the eibach pro-kits (NOT THE SPORTLINES(which do drop more but are linear rate (constant) instead of progressive (variing))) They drive like nice stock springs when you're not getting on them too hard or driving too aggressively... but once you load them up (takes some getting used to) they stiffen up like hugh hefner after he pops a viagra.... they're sweet.

are the H&R's a good ride? I keep hearing about them but haven't ridden in a car with them installed....my car is dropped like2.5 and after having the car in the body shop for a few weeks....driving a stock car...I absolutely hate how friggin stiff and bouncy my car feels...I'm either going to get the H&R's or I am going to throw the stock springs back on the car
