Odd dizzy wiring question (you know you wanna read it)
This might seem as odd to some, but I am down on my luck and can't afford to do anything better (unless I sacrifice fixing the bushings).
My 1 plug OBD2 B series vtec (GSR dizzy on my LS) died on me 4 days ago. I borrowed a running non vtec dizzy and it ran mint. I opened mine up and the shaft was rusted to crap, the seal for the dizzy was dead and filling with oil. I had a spare obd1 dizzy lying around so I swapped the harnesses internally and kept the obd1 ignitor and coil, shaft, new cap and rotor for it. The fire order is correct (34 on top, 12 on bottom) and it won't start. I'm actually thinking the end peice that goes on the cam should be the one from the GSR dizzy because the LS dizzy didn't start the car.
If anyone can help me out, or tell me that I shouldn't swap harnesses. I'm just low on options and I need the car back tonight. Please help me HT.
