Default interchangeable dizzy?

not too long ago...mu car started stuttering under load and my exhaust started making this "putt...putt...putt..." noise

now I'm tryna test to see if my dizzy is messed up but can only get a hold of a obd1 ls dizzy.
I have a obd1 gsr
will it work?

Don't quote me on this, but I've read about people swapping in the internals of an Ls dizzy and putting it into the b16 one. Not quite sure if it'll work perfectly though.

It should work. We swap dizzy arround all the time. As long as its obd1 to obd1, there is no problem.

If there is a diffrences between the distributors, it would be a first for me.

You need a VTEC distributor because if you have a VTEC head the VTEC solenoid gets in the way of the LS mouting ear on the right side. You can slice off the ear or put the parts into the VTEC one.
