I have a 94 civic that I obtained a while ago.In the process I found a 96 vtec motor with tranny... I dont have a intake manifold for a obdI set up and would like to try to use the obdII manifold if I can, the motor (d16y8) I have came with engine tranny and wiring harness untouched aka un cut I have the ecu that came original with it but I need all the original wires in the car to plug in as well.
does any one know how to build a wiring harnessto to junction the two together or know where I could get one...
I am kinda despirate at this point ... I feel like my car is so close to running and then I run into this problem ...

I have found a link in the archive that gives a pin out on both the OBDI and OBDII ECU's I will post wether or not I run into trouble during my swap ... till then happy building...

First off it is spelled VTEC not v tech.....what specific engine is it? the code is on the block where the tranny bolts on......what do u mean by "intake"? intake manifold or air intake tube....u can get a wiring harness from a junkyard or someone on H-T.....you are gonna have to run wires from the harness plugs on the shock tower inside the car if u want VTEC to work dont use a button that is bad for the engine plus its gay and ghetto.....the OBD II harness will plug into your current OBD I plugs but its better to just use a OBD I harness to keep it all simple and save some $

if the motor is completely obd-2 just find a obd-2 gsr harness and its all plug and play. then all you need is a 0bd-1 gsr ecu. you are going to need to wire up knock and IAB
