OBD2 tuning options
so in the springtime i want to build an OBD2 G23 for my 97 hatch. problem is i have no clue on what to do for tuning yet, and i do not want to go OBD1 due to state emmisions (have to do a plug in)
i know i can get hondata s300 for obd2, but was wondering if there are any other options for obd2 that anyone has experiance with?
my plans are
F23 block
H22 DOHC head
either a small turbo pushing about 5-8psi,
or N/A with K20 pistons.
and i'll prolly use the H2B kit and run a b16 tranny, or a LS tranny if i go turbo.

Re: OBD2 tuning options
An Apexi VAFC can be used to tune on obd2 vehicles but Not recommended if u intend to boost without a BTM from MSD so u can play with timing or purchase an Apexi AVCR( i believe has all the options to change timing.) i would recommend stepping down to obd1 to tune any boost application. you can always open the wastegate or remove ur boost piping so u do not boost and rock an obd2 ecu for a h22 to get thru emissions then swap back to obd1 when ur done.

Re: OBD2 tuning options
Are you sure this isn't what you saw?

it's not a OBD2 Hondata, it just simply gets rid of the jumper harness that is needed.
IMO you cannot tune OBD2 without runing a piggy back setup.

Re: OBD2 tuning options
i think thats what i saw. i was on my phone so it looks different, but its probably that.
good to know, so i can't tune OBD2, ill have to research to see if a h22 obd 2 ecu will run a G23 so i can pass emmisions then use an obd1 for tuning
