Obd2 to obd1?

Default Obd2 to obd1?

This sounds very silly but going from obd2 to 1is a down grade right? ?

I swear i seen people on here posting about obd1 conversions is this correct?

not necessarily. depends on what you want to do with the car. for example, if you want to tune your swap with neptune or hondata you need to go obd1. unless you go K series witch uses it's own hondata module or re-flashing the computer. .

That's what i want to hear
I'm being called an idiot for not going obd2 in a old obd1 car as the motor I'm putting in runs a obd2 ecu

But now knowing if its good enough for honda boys its good enough for me

Reason i want to retain obd1 is due to its easier to tune much cheaper to

My q is now

Doesn't the obd2 ecu have more adjustment points n parameters etc?

But ya i always thought i was seeing things about peoplegoing back to obd1 but now i know it's happening

well that changes everything, and cant even really be discussed here.
the only reason honda guys with obd2 cars go back to obd1 is for tuning purposes. 96-2000 hondas are not tuneable unless you convert them to obd1 (92-95). it's really just that simple.

Cheers for that all understood now but dam i thought with the amount of hot hatch eks etc there would be a way to tune. ..but as you said its obd1 or after market ecu only
