Default Obd2 - obd1 si swap helpp

Already searched and didnt come up with what i neede to hear. I plan on getting a motor swap in the near future for my 99 si. I also plan on running boost and running hondata. My problem is though i want to pass emissions. is there any way i could run and obd2 motor, with a conversion harness to obd1 with a chipped ecu with hondata. Or can i just buy an obd 1 motor and have an obd2 ecu to make it pass. Please help.... thanks for you time and merry christmass

no unless you are in a state where they don't check the ecu. Or you know someone who will pass you.

There isn't a stock OBD2B ECU oriented EMS that would pass emissions, other than a piggy back off the stock ecu.

But if you just do a swap and run the a OBD2B ecu, it will pass inspection/emission.

It is either convert to OBD1 and run uberdata/crome/hondata (all the same idea) and run a conversion harness.. then when inspection comes pop in a stock OBD2 ecu to pass it with.

Or get AEM and do the same thing when inspection comes around.. or run a piggy back off the OBD2 ecu.

My vote goes to the first.. convert to OBD1.

You need to tell us what year car this is going into. If are putting it into an OBD2 car, you can just run that year ecu.. If you put it into an OBD1 car, you can use an OBD1 wiring harness and use an OBD1 ecu.

and you won't have to change the dizzy.

It should just plug right in. You should just use the ECU that matches the motor and that year car.

So you would want to use a 99 GSR ecu.
