obd1 dizzy wiring to obd2b harnss?
i have a 99 civic ex with a z6 swap in it. i randomly started throwing the code 9 for the cyp sensor, so i bought a new aftermarket obd1 dizzy for the z6. wired it up exactly like my old one was when in there, by repinning the black wire from the plug with 2 pins to make the bigger plug an 8 pin plug to match the obd2b harness, however it is still running HORRIBLE and throwing the code 9 still. I also have a bad primary o2 sensor (code 41) for a while now, prob as long as ive had the car (almost 2 yrs).. my question is, why and how could i still be throwing the code 9 with a BRAND NEW DIZZY and why is it still running bad??? by running bad i mean, NO power and NO acceleration at all. barely driveable. and NO i havent been driving it like that.

they make dizzy conversion harnesses for things like this at rywire.com. a y8 dizzy only would have had one bolt line up on the top but would have plugged right in ur stock harness. ive been running mine this way for a while. nothings been wrong form using one bolt. the O-ring doesn't even leak... im sure it will leak oil in time even if i could use all 3 bolts.

what he saiddddd lol
oh thanks for the site, ive seen conversion harnesses but I also read up on other sites that just repinning one wire to it would work, however its not working but idk if it could because of the way I wired it like that, or maybe somewhere more in my harness to the ecu.. note, my previous dizzy that i drove on for over a year was wired to the plug by repinning the same wire i did and it worked fine. now all of a sudden it throws the CYP error (code 9) with a NEW dizzy and the wiring supposedly right.
