obd2 dizzy in obd0 car running obd1 distributor code 4 problem solved
i tired to put as many key words in the title so if other have my problem they can find it easily.
well my buddy has a 90 hatch that that he put a y8 in with a y8 obd2 dizzy running a boomslang obd1 convesion harness with a p28. well we get it all together and the thing has a bitch of a time starting, throws a code 4 and wont go above 3000 rpm. figured it had to be wiring, so we rewired everything multiple times, no luck.
finally i switched the ckp+ and cyp+ wires contrary to what all the wiring diagrams say and WAHLAA it works.
so according to this paper

i switched the light blue and the yellow
hope this helps you guys out it took us 3 days and a lot contemplating burning the car to figure this one out

ok i have to bring this back from the grave.
i am having some problems myself with getting my engine started.
if you look at your chart and this one from boomslang they both ssay that there are supposed to be 2 blue wires on the obd2 dizz plug. i have an obd2b dizzy here ,as well as the boomslang 0-1 conversion, and the obd2b dizz plug doesnt have 2 blue wires theres only 1
i called rustin and he told me to hookup the blue from the obd2 plug to the orange wire on the obd0 engine harness. I'm all fugged up right now???????????
boomslang conversion charts refer to the one on the bottom left for the dizz

ps im also thinking about burning this ****.

the diagram above sucks ***. it doesnt explain if those damn colors are for the dist plugs , or if theyre for the engine harness plugs ? or vice versa. i dont have a damn light blue on my engine bay harness . I have it on the dist wires.
