Default o2 sensor affect performance?

i have a d16z6 and it runs a little sluggish. i feel like it should be a bit faster than what it is. i have an unplugged o2 sensor. can this be a reason for a poor performance? possible losing a few hp? thanks for the help.

Yes, you need the 02 sensor.
Without it, you will bog down and run pig rich.

Of coarse it will affect your performance it reads how much are to fuel ratio and sends the info back to the ecu.
