which do you recommend..

Just the standard $2 copper ones. You don't really need anything more, and won't see a difference in most cars by getting the Vs or the Irridiums.
Platinums aren't meant for performance, they're meant for longevity. Plat plugs are used when the change interval is specified at 50 or 100K.

NGK or Denso. I think I got NGK last time for $1.75 or something like that at Autozone. Copper plugs, no matter what the brand, aren't very expensive; and it's what came stock.
