Newly registered (long-time reader) here. Would like your opinions..
Hi guys,
I've been reading these boards for the past few months and I decided to register the other day (I like this forum better than Csi ). I'm looking for a 92 - 95 Civic Si. It will be my second car (driving it in the summer only) and I don't want to spend a HUGE amount of money on it.
My plans when I get the car are some springs/shocks/lightweight wheels. I'm having trouble deciding whether or not to put a Drag turbo kit on the d16z6 or swap the engine for a b16 or b18. My goals are to have a good handling car that can do high/mid 13s in the 1/4 mile.
I would rather keep the d16z6 for a challenge. So are 13s attainable with the Drag Kit on the d16z6? Thanks a lot for your help guys. I've done searches on SOHCs in the Turbo forum and I don't think it would be too difficult to acheive 13s. (What are your opinions?)

13's are easily achieved with the d16motor and turbo. i was able to run 13.4 with stock motor and drag turbo kit at 13psi.

Theres nothing about a b engine you can't have with a d. even cam timing can be custom ground into the shaft. compression can be upped or downed, flow can be increased, turbos added, etc. just takes hella more time, know how, and money.
good luck though!
