Default Newbie Question?

I have had a 92 VX civic hatchback since 97 but I never looked into modding it. It looks like it is time for a rebuild or replacement and I am thinking about doing a swap to something better. Any sites out there that sell used engines for a good price? I am a cheap *** and since this is my daily driver it would be nice to have some more power but I dont want to spend a ton. Sorry if this is a stupid question just looking for some guidance. I have heard that doing a swap is pretty simple as well.

Also Curious on what types of swaps can I do with this car? Would I be better off
buying a 89-91 Civic with the less expensive swap or stick with the 92 hb?

- Thanks in advance for any help.

Well, cheap and simple are relative terms. It's gonna cost about $2000 to do a swap to a B series engine. You also are going to definitely need someone who knows how to remove/install/troubleshoot/wire an engine. Finally, if you do it plan on setting the whole weekend aside, and expect the chance that it will spill into the next week/weekend. Peace

If you got people that know what their doing it can be done in a couple hrs (like 4-8 depending on tools and know how ) you might also try JDMhondaparts.com thats where I got my engine ... shipped to my door in less then a week and I happend to find out how much the paid for it there was only a 200 dollar mark up, pritty fair on a 2700 buy IMO
