Newbie here !
I have been into Honda's for a while . Mostly CRX's and EF's . I switched to Volkswagen's , but now I'm back ! I will be taking delivery of a 1995 SI on tuesday hopefully . A woman I used to work with , her husband hooked me up. He bought the car off a friend about 2 years ago . It's been garage kept it's whole life ! Well they recently picked up a new car and were looking to get rid of the Civic , and they thought of me . She called me at work today and asked me if I wanted it . I figured they would only want a grand or so for it and I said sure . She told me it needed reaer brakes and some exhaust work . They weren't looking to put money into it . ( they're a 70 year old couple ) So he was gonna send it to the junk yard ! The car has 50K on it , not a spot of rust that I've have seen , and it's been pampered by old people ! But here is the best part ! I got it for $200 !!!!!!!!! I'm stoked to be back into the Honda world . Those Volkswagen's as my Dad would put it are a 1lb box with 5lbs of crap in them ! IMPOSSIBLE TO WORK ON ! So let me know what you all think ! And I'll try to get some pics up !

I think he was going to ask what to do about the brakes and the exhaust.
Good luck on the cheap pick up. It sounds like a really good deal as you can fix the problems you listed very easily or you can upgrade them cheaply as well. Welcome to H-T.

Thanks for all the replies ! I wasn't waiting for somebody to throw it out , I just couldn't pass it up , would you ? Plus I was getting tired of always fixing something on the mess Volkswagen called a Jetta. But I'm sure I will be needing answers to something down the road . See you all around !
