Just what the title asks... will my 92 Vx d15z1 clutch and flywheel work in the 94 Ex tranny? I here from some people who say they should but some others tell me they won't. I am new to single cams because my other hatch came with a b18b in it. I bought the Vx a couple monthes ago for a daily driver but the tranny is holding it back and I know the Ex tranny has shorter gears. Also I was wondering if I could put my d16z6 head on the Vx bottom end. Some other thread on here said the valves would hit the pistons but he is a noob. I here that the Vx bottom end is like a Cx's, and you can put a 1.6 head on them. I already have a P28 if I can use the 1.6 head. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

ok..thats answered 1 of my q,..now my other 1 is..i got the same car has his. will a 98 ex intake manafold fit up to the D15Z1?

yes.. but you will need to change the ecu now.. because that manifoold has some emmision things on it.. i belive the egr is on that one.. not to sure..

which ecu...and will it affect my gas milage?

i dont think there really is a need to put the z6 head on the z1 block. it wont be worth the power increase. however the z6 tranny would be a very good idea. clutch flywheel and all

if u switch ecu's i'd go with a p28 but i don't know if u would have problems with the 5 wire o2 from the vx..

if its a daily driver i wouldnt bother switching ecus at all
