new problem.. car still doest start.. please help starter woess

Default new problem.. car still doest start.. please help starter woess

my car is not turning over

and im only getting 5 volts on the wire to the starter solenoid. i was talking to a mechanic and he said id have to trace the wire back. but i cant find what would be the problem... i have a a helms but its not helping to much right now

That wire goes to the ignition switch. If your ignition switch is bad, it'll probably cause that problem to happen 9 times out of 10. You can rake through your Helms for Ignition Switch Troubleshooting because I don't have time to do it right now. I'm sure you can figure it out

ignition switch like from the ignitiion cylinder under my steering wheel... or somewhere else...

first test your battery then take a dvom ste it on volts and place read lead to bat post and black to solenoid batt term crank, see how many volts are being dropped in that wire should be very vert little, probably high resistance in a wire or your starter, if you know how to check for voltage drops on a starter then do that

im trying to understand what you said but that entire first lines seems like a bunch of typos to be right now....
