Default NEW GUY NEEDS SOME HELP!!

alright guys im not very mechanically inclined but i just came across a 97' civic type R RHD conversion kit. i need to know a few things. to do the conversion i have to have a 97 civic? or are there other years i can use? i currently own an 02' civic ex coupe but i doubt i can throw the conversion in that. how much time/money would this project take if i did it myself and/or if i hired someone to do it for me? any suggestions or any other info would be extremely appreciated. thanks! Will G.

it wont work in your current civic and i would not suggest doing it your self if you dont know what you are doing. its a good deal of work. it wont be cheap to pay someone though.

jdm is gay, face it and dont worry about rhd

TURN OFF THE CAPS LOCK!
what you want to do will require clipping your car.you'll need a very competent body shop to handle this, and i'm sure you're looking at a few thousand dollars in just labor.i wouldn't recommend it just to sit on the wrong side of the car and have an awkward time driving, and possibly get harassed by the cops.you could spend that money on something much more useful.

RHD why not a RWD conversion kit! Just kiding in all actuality though RHD is not worth all you will gain is a different driving position, you'll pay several thousand for a shop to do the work and potentially have many future problems just my .02

Really not worth it. If you have a lot of money then maybe. Even if you had a 97 civic, it would still be a headache and a half to do it. Dont waste your time.
