needing a jump every other time but battery is strong!?!?!?
i have a 93 honda civic with an HX motor that i have been driving with no problems except a slow oil leak.
recently i've been needing a jump start to get my car going but its werid because the battery seems strong and the lights are bright, car cranks over over and over but just wont start until i hook up tha jumper cables. i checked my grounds and connections and they all are normal.
and ideas, suggestions, similar syptoms, etc???

Check your grounds and spark. Replace any ignition components that are due, starting with the plugs.

Ignition components? Why?
OP: It might be a starter issue. Maybe your starter has higher resistance than it should. Using jumper cables to add another battery's power on top of yours might get it going.
Do you just hear a click when you try to start the car?
What do you mean the battery seems strong? Are you sure you checked all the grounds? Especially the one going from the trans to the chassis?
Try having someone manipulate the key to start the car while you wiggle the trans to chassis ground. See what happens.

"Seems" and "is" are two different things.
If you have an Autozone in your area you can bring the car in and get a free battery or charging system check on the machine. They also charge batteries for free. Make sure they take your name and attach it to your battery.
