car wont start
have a 99 civic that has NEVER had any issues. went to start it today. pput the key in the ignitian, normal lights came on ok. turned it to power on everything, worked fine. turned it to start the motor, and everything just died with a little "clunk" sound. any help would be much appreciated. btw checked the battery, its perfect.
ok, if everything was fine yesterday, what changed? did it get cold?
if you are cranking and everything ***** the bed, you have a bad battery or a very poor connection at the battery.
have the battery tested to be sure and go from there.

make sure battery is good and connections are good...crank it and if it's making a click every time u crank it over then have someone bang on the starter while someone else is holding it in the start position...if it starts or cranks over rewal quick and stops then it is your starter
sorry, its an automatic.
it wasnt making the clicking sound whne i was trynig to start it, everything just went dead and nothing happened.
problem actually resolved itself earlier today, was pushing it off the driveway so the tow truck could take it to the mechanics and i was able to start it while it was moving and in neutral. started just fine 10 more times after that. just incase its a warning sign for something big, what would cause that?

A complete loss of power when starting a car, [everything is fine when ign. is turned on but all power is lost as soon as you turn ign. to start] is an indication of a connection problem, because you lose all power it must be a main power or ground connection, it is not unusual for this to be an intermittent issue, it will get progressively worse.
I would check, [pull clean and reconnect] all main power and ground connections, if for no other reason then to eliminate them as the problem. 94
