need your opinion on this,,,
not sure if i save myself some money on this diagnostic or "trouble shoot." i called maybe 10 different shops for this and all of them wanted between 40 n 100 bucks just to diagnose it. luckily one shop said "free!" his shop specialize in imports and is ASC/ASE certified. he been around for over 20 years. me and him went for a test drive(he drove) and he said it's two things; fuel pump or fuel pump relay. he said do the cheaper one first; the fp relay.
here's the problem with my car: it bogs only on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gear when trying to peel out or burn out like you're trying to race. no problem with regular street driving and highway speed.
could you guys pin-point out the problem for me? i don't want to spend over 100 dollars for this. i just want to know exactly what is causing it? if it's fp, then i'll buy fp. if it's fp relay, then i'll buy fp relay.
is it hard to replace the fp relay? i heard it's somewhere underneath the driver side dash. fuel pump i won't f*ck with. i'll leave that to the mechanic.
please help!

he may be right, but it could also be a whole lot of other things.
Check you have a good fuel flow to your injectors by disconnecting the line at the injector rail, be carefull, it may be still pressurised. You could have a blocked fuel line or filter too.
Difficult to dignose without driving it so I'm assuming your guy could tell the difference between a fule related problem and an ignition or ecu problem.

generally when main relays start to get flakey in hondas the car starts fine when the ambiant temperature is cold, but if you leave the car out in the sun it wont start, if you can get it to start it usually runs fine though until you shut it off. The relay is quite simple to swap out though, try to even borrow a known good one if you can to see if thats what the issue is before you buy on. On a more general note, when it comes to troubleshooting I don't like just throwing parts at something in the hopes that it fixes the issue. Generally there are procedures to test components. You check to see which components have failed and then replace as neccessary.
