Need some advice on a new project car...

Well, try posting up pics and that just might help us more. Okay, so you're saying that the turbo has NO oil lines running to it? Has the car been ran in this condition? It is very common swap cuz the D16Z is superior in the oil pump department and in the crank design. If I was closer I could help out firsthand...but I'm not a fan of Hondata, so that'll be something someone else will have to answer. GL!

I'll be sure to get some pics up by this weekend.
I was able to get in touch with the person I bought it from...they had the old oil pan from when they swapped in the reman. D16Z6...I don't think they were able to get it fired up after swapping in the new engine, thus didn't hook (or include for that matter) all of the lines.

Wow lucky bastard, thats a great deal! $900 should be what the shell is worth minimum. HX also had the lighter body. Look at the engine code and make sure its a D16Z6. If its a turbo project, lets hope he didn't blow a rod or something. What I would do is pul the plugs and look down each hole to see the condition of the pistons. Maybe do a leak down or a compression test if you have access to tools.
Next check for spark and fuel, and make sure they are using the right ECU, any unplugged sensors, OBD1 in a OBD2 definately means spliced wires and modified harnesses.

It is definitely a D16Z6...verified with the previous owner that it had a D16Z6 before they replaced it with a D16Z6. I took the turbo and manifold off so that I could take it somewhere and have it looked at to make sure it's still good. With it off, I replaced the plugs and it fired right up...no CEL at all.
The plugs were BAD...and I mean ugly. No telling where they came from or how long they'd been in there. I need to find a local turbo shop and have them check out the turbo...then install the old (new) oil pan and get an oil feed and return line setup...
Thanks for the advice and help...I'll get pictures posted soon.

Well, turns out that the turbo is no good.
Now I've got to see how much a replacement would be or if I can find a header and put a shorty intake on.
Anyone ever run into this? I'm thinking that i can add a header and shorty intake, remove the turbo and intercooler piping and be ok until I can find another turbo right?
