Ok ive just finished installing the z6 into my ek. The original motor was a y8. What all needs to be modified for this to run correctly? im using the y8 harness with conversion to obd1 with a p28.

so i take it noone has went from y8 to a z6 ...

OK WELL YALL SUCK AT TRYING TO HELP... i figured it out on my own.. took the guts out of the y8 dizzy and swapped them to the z6 dizzy housing..

hey man, i did the EXACT same thing just recently. I had to swap the guts and such as well, and repin the dizzy by using the 2 wiring diagrams for the 2 dizzys. i had a few extra connectors on the harness, but the obd1 p28 should take care of the CEL's id have.

its not actually running yet because i need a fuel rail and o2 sensor(which im getting tomorrow)

if i run into any other problems, or whatever..ill give you some tips.

yeah mine runs perfect no cels or nothing...i didnt even repin the plug just pulled the insides with the plug on the dizzy from the y8 swapped right into the z6 housing fired right up
