Best bet is to not bump your thread every 5 minutes, that will make people ignore you. Not trying to sound mean, but it will. People will not answer you to spite you. to answer some of your questions I have a few for you, you HAVE to answer them for anyone to take you seriously and to give you their time.
1. How much money are you going to spend on this car TOTAL to get to 300 WHP
2. How much money do you have RIGHT NOW, IN YOUR HAND, to spend on this car. What I mean is I have 2k in the bank, but the wife says I can't buy ****, so I have no money to spend, simple as that..... well unless I want to invest in some hand lotion.
3. Are you STUCK on the D series, I have an H23 and love it, but I am also building a D right now and am hoping to like it more for the MPG reasons, if your not TOTALLY ready to get the D series preggers and be with it forever admit it now and start saving for a swap.
Oh, and try to use complete words/sentences, this is a forum, not a text message. I'll help you when I can, but try to help me help you.

Re: need help with my sohc v build
Well to be honest that is never going to happen. I am new to the d series (see less than 2 weeks) but unless it has some magical flux capacitor I don't know about yet your going to need a lot more than that to make it happen A GOOD turbo setup that will put out reliable numbers will run you about 2k, turbo piping, inter-cooler, BOV, WG.....the list is long and $$$. The best thing to do is start small and build up slowly to the turbo. Get it together and running, then P&P the head, that's a MUST for 300 HP, then swap mani's, the edlebrock I have read is good for turbos. what exhaust are you going to be running? That alone can set you back about 700 depending on what you go with. For a turbo 300 HP car you DEFINITELY need 2.5 piping.

i was going 2 put 3" or 2" 3/4 inch piping. the i got a gt30 or preccision. one of those. the rest of the kit iz a xs power kit blow off valve charge pipes intercooler n so on. the mani i was going 2 use a y8 one till i get my hands on a edlebrock mani. would that do? n how much boost can i run tuned. n how much can i run untuned:? thanks

Can you please type with better English? I know this isn't grammar-tech.com, but still it's nice to have a discussion without having to substitute words or fill in the blank.
Now to answer your question your not going to want to run a lot or any untuned. With that kit on a Daily Driver i would say 10psi is fine after a tune. Before a tune though? like 2 psi, seriously. The whole idea of a tune is so you don't blow your motor and cause incorrect detonation.

Re: need help with my sohc v build
You cannot bolt a turbo with that set-up. Your C.R. is around 11.5:1 Even without the turbo you are going to experience hard detonation. You can check your C.R. in the following Web: www.zealautowerks.com/dseries.html
Need a different piston. Like the original D16z6 piston for a C.R of 9.1:1 with the D16A6 head gasket. Good for no more than 10 ps boost and 200whp, with a very goood tuning. Some guys said that is better to stay below 7-8 ps of boost.
For more than 220 hp, you need stronger rods and pistons. Some guys bolt a turbo in a stock D16z6 and get 250 + hp with 15 ps of boost, and no problems so far. But serious engine builder do not recommend more than 220 hp with OEM botton end.

Re: need help with my sohc v build
If you are going to use your car in the street is better to have a C.R. around 9.0:1 for less turbo lag and a small turbo for better response. With 15 ps boost and a good botton end ( Rods and Forged Pistons ) you will have with a good tuning around 250 hp. With 18-20 ps boost about 300HP, 300hp is the limit for track racing , more than that is useless.
If you like drag racing ( 1/4 mile ) and want more HP, look for a C.R. between 7.0:1 and 8.0:1 and a big turbo, bigger intake, bigger TB, Ecu like the AEM, and more boost ( 21 -30 ps ) 400-450 HP, but a lot of turbo lag in low rpm, not good for street use.

Re: need help with my sohc v build
The crank do not make a differ in C.R. Using the 76mm piston, it increased compresion by 0.20, for example from 9.00 to 9.20. So, it do not make a big diference.
About the turbo I have to find out, but the model depends on the Brand. For good response you need a turbo for no more than 350HP.
