need help its not the wheel bearing

Default need help its not the wheel bearing

i just picked up a 93 civic dx automatic i was going to put new breaks on it and a passenger wheel bearing and put it up for sale..but its not the wheel bearing like i thought it was.going down the road the passengers side makes a horrible womping sound like if the wheel bearing were toast.anyone have any ideas?

dude, theres not a lot moving there.
check the axle
check the rotor
and check the tire

new wheel and tire.just did new rotors this morning.brand new axle. theres no movement from side to side or top to bottom only thing left is a alignment that i can think of.

did you check the cams? sometimes its because of too much body roll

just because there is no play in the bearing does not mean its not bad. some of the scariest sounding bearings ive changed had no play at all.

wheel bearings are pressed in. they have no play. so u pretty much figured it out that its the wheel bearing

good wheel bearings have no play...shot wheels bearings usually have play....these ones have no play.

it really doesnt matter. if they have play or not. try this. put the front end on jack stands and put the car on drive. u should be able to hear the noise while the wheels are in motion. if thats the case ur bearing is jacked up.

so i jacked up the front of the car and put it in drive and it made noise not near as bad as when your driving but it made some noise.i picked up a new spindle for 45 bucks and im going to put it on tomorrow hopefully it fixes it.

defo wheels bearing, or axle. change wheel bearing, if thats not it worse thing it could be is tranny. but doubtful
