You're not going to find a kit for a y7. The only kit you'll find for a D series is for a z6 or y8. If you swap out the intake manifold a either kit will work on your y7...

dont get an ebay kit, check your local shops to see if they can peice one together for you. if they can they are for sure to have the intake manifold you need laying around for a good price (30-50 bucks). you shouldnt have to spend more than 600-700 dollars for a decent kit.

u can make a home made kit that will be good but will take a bit more research(either or u are going to have to research). ur prob going to want a small turbo for everyday. but ebay ones will eventually break to our knowledge. they may last like 2-3years but after that????

Y'know, I wish that was the case, but it's not. It's hard to even piece together your own kit for under 1 large. Also, with tune included, you're usually looking at around 1.2 - 1.5k for a turbo stock internal D-series. Yes, there is a few people that got it for 6 or 700 but they make up like 5% of the turbo-D honda population.

EDIT:
AT OP:
Buy a Y8 IM/TB and buy a 96-98 EX turbokit.

There are no turbocharger kits for a D16Y7 that are California emissions legal.

Buy a different car, forget the turbocharger, move out of CA, and/or find something else to do with your time and money.

yeah unfortunately he is right. when it all comes down to it. u get like all the main parts for the kit. (turbo, piping, downpipe, hoses, clamps, bov, wastegate, manifold, oil lines, intercooler, injectors)then ur like ok have everything. but either u need a new exhaust, or new ecu+basemap and or software(crome, hondata etc). then u install everything and some thing is wrong. either u forget something or u screw up installing it or just something. it gets to be very tedious. not to try and turn u away but it take alot of free time no dought. good luck.

p.s. i do recommend the y8 IM swap for obvious air flow reasons.
