need help on D-series swap
i have a 95 dx hatchback with a cx engine and my headgasket has been leaking and my car needs a valve job real bad.. its been eating my all my coolant/oil up so i am forced to get a new engine now. im purchasing a D16z6 from a dismantler place in emeryville. I was wondering what do i need for this swap. i have a vague idea of what to get but im not sure exactly what i need and what i have in my car already that i can use temporarily or what i cant. im not sure what ecu i have rite now in my car because when i bought the car the guy didnt tell me. can someone give me some info... Thank you.

its kinda plg and play being you taking a one single out and putting another in.the only diferrence in motor is that ones v-tec one not. you need to wire you wiring harness up for vtec which i heard is agravating if its you first time.you should have to change anything but the wiring harness i believe. oh and your ecu.either get it chipped for v-tec or buy one. i i'd were you i just checked to local junk yard for a civic ex 92-00.preferbaly 92-95. 96-00 with work you just have to put a obd2 distributer on ,correct me if i wrong<-- and you have a extra o2sensor hanging..

The wires are not already there since its a dx.... only 92's are pre-wired for vtec.... the only others for all the 92-95's are the ex's si's and vx's the rest need to be wired.
