need answer about timing belts
So i am thinking about buying a orthodox pulley for a 1996 type r motor. i am wondering can i use the stock timing belt or go aftermarket with a toda timing belt. because somebody told me that i might have to use a shorter one.

however told you that you need a different timing belt is an idiot, I would stay away from that pulley or any other undampened pulley, there are better ways to make power.

Same here. I read a post a long time ago about a guy with a Prelude who put orthodox underdrive pulley kit on a fresh motor build up. He started having problems after about 20,000 miles. A mechanic took the motor apart and told the guy his bearings and crank jounals looked like the motor had 200,000 miles on it. The mechanic blamed it on the unbalanced underdrive crank pulley. i don't think that is worth 2-3 hp.
