[Caster]

OK on saturday I hear some grinding noise so I pop the hood and it seems to be coming from the dizzy, next day and today the noise disappears but "check engine light" appears and car starts to get jerky when you take off and even while cruising. Take it to the mechanic today (in which it was still jerky) and he takes it for two test drives a couple hours after I leave it with him and calls me up and say it doesnt jerk at all although the check engine light is still on?! What are the components I should be checking for? Can the jerking just come and go?

why not get the code from the ecu ?? if he's a mechanic he should have checked to see what it was all u need is a paper clip

also this same situation happened to me when I was driving my mom's accord,... but one the grinding started it did not stop, and the car did jerk maybe once or twice on the way home from a 30 min drive,... it was the dizzy....
