code 9?
a few days ago i posted this
[QUOTE=civicmark]Today after i backed out of the driveway and started to drive to work, there was this horrible grinding noise comming from under the hood, so i stoped, and got out to look at it. i had my friend start up the car and the noise came back( a really bad grinding noise) and sounded like it was comming from the transmission. the wierd thing was after about 10 seconds of it it went away. the noise was there when the car was in neutral and when the clutch was pressed in
any ideas?[/QOUTE]
well i started up the car again to try to hear the noise, and the check engine light came on, so i checked it out and am getting a code 9?
i searched on it (didnt find too much) but did find that someone said their distriquter was grinding, and that a bad dizzy is probably the cause of a code 9.
my question is, what does a 'grinding' distributer sound like? could that have been what i was hearing?
