my tach keeps sticking
today i was driving around and i noticed that during slow acceleration my tach would stick for a second and then jump to wherever it was suposed to be
its an ex cluster that i put in my 93 cx its been in for more than year and never had problems before it also has an ls swap if you think that could have anything to do with, but i doubt it because the swap has been in for about 9 months
any ideas would be helpful, this is anoying the **** out of me

Check the...****...VSS? Whatever your speedo plug is. Man, my head's lost today. My tach was goin crazy, and turned out when I put the new tranny in, the plug got really dirty, causing fluctuations and whatnot.

Re: my tach keeps sticking (blackeg)
i had a 96 honda accord and it did the same thing. i replaced the tach with a spare i had and it fixed the problem. not saying that is what it wrong with yours but that is what was wrong with mine.

what does the vss have to do with the tach? when my vss connector got oil in it on my old civic the tach worked perfectly, though the speedo was doing all kinds of random stuff.
anyway, i'd guess the cluster is going out. doesn't seem like there's anything else that could guess that.
