My new exhaust choice...what ya think
Ok so i bought a "number one" brand n1 style catback...however after a month of driving it, i cant stand the noise nemore. If i buy a stock exhaust...can a muffler shop somehow weld those 2 different piping together. The size of the n1 catback is 2 1/4 and i know the size of a stock muffler is nowhere near that big...also would i even notice the power loss? Thanks HT

They can probably weld an adapter on. It won't sound good at all though. I suggest going with an oval style muffler with custom piping.

Did you try putting a silencer on the N1 Muffler to lower the nosie a little bit? But to answer your question, the muffler shop should be able to deal with it, i dont' know if you are going to lose some HP on it.

If your n1 style catback system is bolt on you can just buy an axle back and bolt it right on to the piping. you will lose horse but it wont be too drastic. Also I would suggest going with Tanabe!

Dude just have the muffler shop weld on a chambered muffler instead of using the restrictive stock one. That would be pointless. They make mufflers of all noise levels.

yea, i put my stock exhaust back on and it is still loud is hell. i think its cause my header. it flows really good and makes the stock exhaust sound like straight pipe with a autozone muffler.

yea u can..i did it, i have 2 1/4 piping..
ask the muffler shop to just chop off the inlet pipe off...then to just make the hole bigger and weld on a 2 1/4 inch pipe to replace it....
sounds stock and wont get pulled over..
should be like 20 bux

I bought the same thing off of ebay, and i can't wait to find a stock axle back to put back on. My car is annoyingly loud with the n1 knockoff on there too!!
