Currently I have my exhaust set up with a 4-1 header 2.25 downpiple inline cat and then 2.25 piping all the way back to an OBX universal muffler. The muffler sounds like ****. Waste of 100 bucks. My question is what muffler should i get, i was thinking about getting either the APEXi Dunk or N1. Out of these two which one is more quiet. I don't want a real loud exhast. I was also thinking about getting the si muffler. Does anyone know how it flows? Will it hurt performance any? Should I just stick to one of the APEXi mufflers? I just want something quiet. Kind of sleeper. Thanks for the info

Well, I will tell you ones things for damn sure, the N1 is NOT quite. I swear, my hearing is going from my 3" exhaust, even just the 3" N1 with 2.25" cat-back is deadly...

 

what about an itr muffler? outflows the si and is VERY stealth..

 

here is what you do its an old motorcycle trick i did back in the day. get your stock muffler get a cutting tourch and un weld it or cut off a panal. the gut everything in it the run a perferated pipe inside the muffler from the intake to the outlet side mig wel it ir tig weld it. and then weld the panal back on or welf on a piece of sheet metal. this is very cheap and easy and quite. i like the stelth effect it gives.

 

it is exactly what a magnaflow is only the magnaflow comes with a warranty and the perfferated pipe is wrapped in steel mesh.

 

where can i get an itr muffler, should i just go to the dealer or somewhere else??

 

do you have a resonator in your midpipe? if not this will cause muffler of any type to sound shitty(even stock mufflers). Same thing happend to me, im upgrading to entire ITR cat back.

I just put a full ITR catback from a 99' on my 97' teg and the ITR midpipe has a resonator on it, i think it might even have 2.

 

i think they're like $200 from the dealership.. just ask around for one.. people are sellin em all the time.. i have one on the way that i picked up for $70..
