sale it and buy her a real car
i like the porsche gt3rs myself
jk... those motor's sucks and if im not mistaken it's a d15 but whatever... swap the motor for something better.. if you want to stay single cam then go with the d16y8 and boost..and change the tranny to manual

buy a big carbon fiber wing. thats a huge gain in power. i have the d 16 y8 with an intake, exhaust and its chipped. does pretty good for an everyday and its still good on gas. slap a gsr motor in there or something. but yea. i agree with nick. convert it to a 5 speed and show her how to drive it.

you have alot to think about honestly... how much money does she want to exactly spend because swaps can range from a grand to 10 thousand quite easily..
do you want to stay auto.. single cam.. na or go turbo? you gotta be more specific in what you want to get results

i dont even want to say this but trade it for a 2g dsm turbo. you can turn the boost up on them and have an easy 13 second car. but they crankwalk in minutes.

fawk auto...auto sucks... and if your going na on a single cam... you might as well save your money for a dohc vtec swap imo
go to a junk yard or get on craigslist and try and find a y8 swap for starter's and then do an auto to manual transfer on her car....

so is there a head swap for it to make it vtec?I figure ill make it vtec get all the lil bolt ons then maybe sometime this year swap it to manual.Id rather swap it manual like in spring and give her enough time to get used to driving stick.Pls i live in wisconsin so it could snow any day. This state blows.

your refering to a mini-me swap.. a d15 block and a d16 vtec head.. you need either a y7 or y8 head. 96+ ecu, and a vtec engine wiring harness... and that's it.
then install it.

you could do whats called a mini me swap, asuming she has a d16y7 like myself. which would make her non-vtec, vtec.. you can use the search button in the top right corner to look up more info on that.

what you should so is research some stuff on here. just look around in the all motor section. unles you wanna boost it. forced induction forum. spend some time looking. figure out what you want, get some basic knowledge and then ask questions. Nobody else can decide for you

Okay well i think im gonna go the mini me swap way but is there a write up a how to?Also if i dont get the ecu right away can she still drive the car?she never really speeds so if she had to stay out of it she could till she got the ecu. Also what would the compression be with a mini me swap?to high for boost?

you can do it but it will be like not having vtec at all... you can get everything to do the swap for less than 500-800 bucks depending if you want to go with aftermarket parts on certain things
